Casa AD is a renovation of an flat from the 1950s.

The original distribution of the internal rooms had the typical arrangement of rooms served by a central polygonal corridor.

In our intervention, the existing corridor becomes an integral part of the living space by demolishing the partition wall. The original floors recovered are a reminder of the previous condition.

The supporting structures in reinforced concrete, brushed and treated, give the space a pleasant post-industrial character.

The wooden paneling forms a filter with other rooms in the apartment (kitchen and study) and takes on a central role in the material and chromatic balance of the bold lines that characterize the living room and the hallway.
